Melissa has been teaching yoga for over 12years.  Her first yoga class was in San Francisco in 1999 and since then she has been hooked! Melissa has many trainings behind her including Bikram Yoga, Hatha Yoga 200hr, Pregnancy Yoga, Mum and Baby Yoga, Infant Massage, Kids Yoga, Pilates and HypnoBirthing.  Melissa co-developed and is lead teacher on The Elbowroom’s very successful, Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training & the Mum and Baby Yoga Teacher Training since 2007.   She also runs her own popular active birth workshops.  Having lived in San Francisco where it was un-cool not to have a yoga mat under your arm, Melissa was lucky to attend many wonderful workshops with some of California’s most highly regarded teachers such as Rusty Wells, Ana Forrest, Colette Crawford and Lynn Whitlow.  Although, she finds her 3 children, her best  teachers in life!  All of Melissa’s classes offer a nurturing, safe, fun and learning experience, with her love of anatomy weaved throughout.  Melissa continues to take workshops, trainings and yoga intensives to continue her own journey in this wonderful lifetime practice.
